The Ducks have acquired defenseman James Wisiniewski from the Blue Jackets for Rene Bourque, William Karlsson and a second-round pick in 2015.

Wisniewski, 31, has two years left on his contract after this season and carries a $5.5 million cap hit, although his salary is $5 million and $3 million over the next two seasons.

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Monday that the club has acquired defenceman Eric Brewer and a fifth round draft pick in 2016 from the Ducks in exchange for defenceman Korbinian Holzer.

Brewer, 35, has registered one goal and one assist in nine games with the Ducks this season after arriving in a trade with the Lightning on November 28, 2014. In 991 career NHL games, he has recorded 266 points (75 goals and 191 assists) and 780 penalty minutes.  Brewer was originally selected by the Islanders with the fifth overall selection in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bruins have traded forward Jordan Caron to the Avalanche for forward Maxime Talbot, according to league sources.

Talbot, 31, has five goals and 10 assists for 25 points in 63 games for the Avalanche.

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Monday that the club has acquired forward Joakim Lindstrom and a conditional sixth round draft pick (2016) from the Blues in exchange for Olli Jokinen.

Lindstrom, 31, has skated in 34 regular season games with the Blues this season, collecting six points (three goals, three assists) and eight penalty minutes. The Skelleftea, Sweden native has registered 39 points (18 goals, 21 assists) in 131 career NHL regular season games with Columbus, Arizona, Colorado and St. Louis. 

The Sabres traded Chris Stewart to the Wild at the last moment prior to Monday's 3 p.m. ET NHL trade deadline, ending weeks of speculation about where the forward might land.

The Wild sent a second-round pick in the 2017 draft to Buffalo, which will retain half of Stewart's salary, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.

The Capitals acquired forward Curtis Glencross in a trade with the Flames on Sunday, according to an ESPN.com report.

In return for the veteran forward, the Flames received second- and third-round draft picks in 2015.

With less than 24 hours until the NHL trade deadline expires, the Rangers and the Coyotes combined for one of the biggest deals of the season Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers have acquired defenseman Keith Yandle, defenseman Chris Summers and a fourth-round pick in 2015 in exchange for defenseman John Moore and top prospect Anthony Duclair, as well as a first-round draft pick in 2016 and a second-round pick in 2015, pending a trade call, a source confirmed to ESPN.com. The Coyotes are also retaining 50 percent of Yandle's salary in the deal.
